by Dianna Good Sky | Get Your Mind On, Mindset
What’s on your mind and what does it matter?
I’m going to take a few minutes to talk to you about how important “what’s on your mind” to you.
I would say that I’ve been doing a lot of learning, a lot of studying, and I believe that studying something, if we wanna learn more about it, it’s the only way we’re really gonna learn, really studying, I mean diving in. And that’s what I’ve been doing.
I’ve been absolutely studying the mindset and the importance of it, and how important your mindset really is.
And one of the things that has become very apparent to me is that no matter what’s on our mind it is what is on our mind that drives who we are, who we become, and what we do, ultimately. And so, even the littlest thing, the littlest bit of negativity can result in big changes or big effect to your day.
And therefore, to your life!
Tune in to my video to learn more…
Be mindful of what you feed your mind
I want to encourage you to be very, very mindful about what you put in your mind. And if you feel like there is anything negative coming on, do anything you can to stop it and say, “Okay, I don’t wanna go in that direction.” I do not wanna have a negative mindset, I do not wanna have a bad day.” So do whatever it takes.
You know one of the simplest ways to switch that around is to put on some good music. If you can have a certain set of tracks that you might wanna listen to when you wanna be, “Happy, Happy” by Feral Williams is a great one. Just find some good, happy music. Music has been shown to really affect your mind.
I wanna explain how this works, and I wanna give you a visual representation of how your mind works and how what you put into it affects who you are. I want you to imagine your mind as fertile soil. And fertile soil, it’s ready, it’s ready for things to be planted in it, whether it’s a tree, a fruit tree, vegetables.
Imagine your mind as fertile soil!
If you have fertile soil, whatever you plant in it is going to grow, that’s just the law. And whatever you take care of grows. You’ve gotta water that plant, and when you water it, it will absolutely grow. And in relation to the mind, when you plant something in your mind, you water it when you pay attention to it.
Does that make sense?
Here we are, we’ve got this fertile ground, our mind, it’s ready for planting, and if you were to take the fertile soil and you were to plant a poisonous tree …
Gosh darn it I’m really upset. I’m not really upset. See, that’s a negative thought. I’m gonna turn that thought around to, obviously that must have meant I was supposed to have better lighting. Oh, there we are. Okay, good. Yay.
If we put in a poisonous plant, then that poisonous plant is gonna grow. And then, you put the beautiful hydrangea bush. Guess what?
The hydrangea bush will grow, if that’s what you’re planting, and that’s what you nurture, and that’s what you take care of, and you water it daily.
Our mind is exactly like this. No matter what we plant in our mind, whatever we pay attention to, that’s exactly what grows. And that’s why it is so important to be mindful of what is on your mind, what is in your mind, and how to monitor your thoughts, how to watch your thoughts.
So, if you want disfortune or misfortune or ailments or bad stuff to happen, then that’s what you think about. So if you live in those negative worlds, that’s exactly what’s going to grow. And that’s how that works. You’ve got to think of your mind as fertile soil, and whatever you plant in it is what’s going to grow. That’s just the law. It’s the law.
I want to encourage you to remember that, and remember that every single time that you have a thought, that thought is a seed, and that thought planted in your mind is absolutely what’s going to grow. If you do not want it to grow, how do you do it? How do you kill a plant? How do you kill a poisonous plant?
Well, in real life, we spray RoundUp. Right?
That’s what we do. In real life, if there’s a weed that we don’t want growing. We gotta treat the bad thoughts in our mind like weeds. We gotta pluck them out. We gotta spray RoundUp on them. That’s how we get rid of those negative thoughts. And what happens then? It leaves more room for planting of good stuff.
For example today we are heading off to the gym, because we have planted in our mind that we want to be healthy and we are making the effort and taking the action to be healthy and that’s why we’re going to the gym right now.
So I hope I have got your to question yourself on ‘what’s on your mind‘ and have a beautiful day everyone and remember…
You are awesome. You are amazing. You are beautiful. I know that, and I want you to know that about you too!

What are affirmations and do they work?
Will they work for you, and how do they work, and what if you only wanted a new car?
What if that’s all you wanted was a new car? I’m here to tell you that I would like to let you know that there is a reason, a scientific reason that affirmations work. I’m not going to get into the science of it because I don’t need the science to understand it and I don’t think everybody does, but I will promise you that when you do affirmations they will work for you and I’m going to tell you how minus the science stuff, okay?
No science here. Listen to my video below as I explain more…
But this is what affirmations are.
Affirmations are simply a repeated statement to yourself and they work best if you look in the mirror when you say them, but they’re a statement of something that you may want to accomplish. We’re going to use the car as an instance.
Say you want a new car and an affirmation for a new car is I’m so happy and grateful now that I have my Lexus 300 whatever, I don’t know the names. I should’ve figured that out, or my Honda Odyssey 2017. My brand new 2017 Honda Odyssey.
Now, saying that in the present tense, how this works is that when you say it in the present tense, it allows you to start planting that in your head, okay? Even if it’s not true right away, what happens is your subconscious mind does not know the truth from a lie. It just doesn’t know it, so when you’re planting these seeds of your future truth, if you will, then you will have the ability to, I’m sorry, let me just share this real quick.
You’ll have the ability to really plant these seeds and foster these thoughts. These thoughts will then start to permeate your mind.
When you have these thoughts of the new car, even if it’s not true yet, what will happen is as you’re talking and as these thoughts start, as you’re saying it especially to yourself in the mirror, that’s the best way but you don’t have to have a mirror. But when you’re saying these things any time of day, the more you see it, it will be good to have cards of whatever your affirmation is and say them repeatedly. That plants those seeds. It waters the seeds. It provides fertilization for the seeds.
That seed then gets planted in your subconscious and then what happens is every single time you say that affirmation, when an opportunity comes about you will notice that it’s an opportunity whereas it’s kind of like your eyes are open to something that you may have not have noticed before, you know?
Example of how Affirmations can work
Yesterday, I will use this as an example. I have long envisioned myself as a speaker on a stage an I’ve spoken at some events. I realized that I wanted to up-level that so I started to do a bit more affirmation from the speaking point of view.
Yesterday, there was inside this very large group, there was a comment made or a post made about this event, and as I looked at it and I noticed that the speakers were not set yet, fully set, it occurred to me because of these affirmations that I had been repeating, that maybe I should reach out and maybe I should see about increasing my visibility by asking if she needs speakers.
Now, here’s what that affirmation worked with that, because having an affirmation that is continually in the forefront of your brain helps you see windows of opportunity that may have not existed before but were probably already there that you didn’t see, I should say. You didn’t see the opportunity there before, but because it’s on your brain, these things happen more and you see them more actually. You just see them more.
When something like that happens and you say, okay, now you’re going to take the action that will help make these affirmations come true. Do you see how this works? So the affirmations are repeated statements of something that you want to accomplish.
It can be a goal. It can be just anything. Like I said, a car. I’m so happy and grateful now that I have a 2017 Honda Odyssey brand new sitting in my driveway. It’s red. It’s got leather seats, and you can envision that.
But what will happen is repeating that all the time, you will notice things that will come up that you may not, that you just didn’t see before. That’s how the affirmations work and they can be used for anything. These repeated statements, they simply put it in your mind and they prompt you to take action.
If you need more money to buy a car, then more opportunities to make money will come up and you’ll recognize them as opportunities to make money to put down towards your car. Do you see that? It’s really quite simply, phenomenal and just it really works.
Affirmations can give us Confidence!
So, I was going through my course, my confidence course and I did it from start to finish. It’s only 30 minutes in total except for when you stop to do the homework. I have to tell you I’m very, very thrilled with it. I’m very proud of it. It’s 30 minutes long and it’s great. It’s a great course. I’ve got some cleaning up to do on it a little bit but part of that is we do include affirmations in this, and affirmations to increase self-confidence.
That’s how powerful that they are. I know that they work and again, they simply drive home to you what you need to be paying attention to and it helps you take action to make those things come true. That’s how they work. So whatever it is that you want.
If you want more information, let me know. Comment below if you have any questions about affirmation work. I’d love to help you.
I’m very excited and pleased about my Confidence Course and soon it will be getting released it to the public.
Thank you so much for reading this post and I hope you have learned more about what affirmations are and how affirmations work. Comment below if you’ve used them before, if you know how to use them and if you’ve had some results. I’d love to hear about it and even share some powerful affirmations you have written too!
You are awesome. You are amazing. You are beautiful. I know that, and I want you to know that about you too!

Do you have decision freedom?
Do you know what decision freedom is? Decision freedom is the ability to make any decision you want no matter what area of life you’re talking about. Whether it’s to take a vacation, whether it’s to take a day off from work, whether it’s to home school your children, that is decision freedom, my friends.
I was really compelled to write this post to talk about what it’s like to have this decision freedom and how do you get there. What does a person do in their life to have decision freedom. I want to just share with you a couple of things that I’ve learned about how I’ve managed to get there and I’m not fully there yet.
I’m not sure, I do know this, that the ability to make the decisions that I want to really actually come from within and that matter what area of life you’re talking about, to be able to have decision freedom, starts from with inside of you where you just make that split second decision of yes, I’m going to do this, not matter what this is.
If you decide that you want to take a trip to Italy because you’ve always wanted to go to Italy, that decision happens as soon as you decide. If it’s your gut instinct that you’ve got to go to Italy, you need to make that decision.
And then, here’s what happens, when you make that decision, everything falls into place. It’s really remarkable. Did you know that you’re one decision away from a whole new life? You’re one decision away from a new job, you’re one decision away from a relationship or whether you’re going to stay in a relationship or whether you’re going to leave the relationship.
I mean, all of your life changes are based on all these decisions.
And so, how you get to decision freedom, the ability to do anything you want in your life, boils down to how you handle all of these other decisions. These decisions whether you want to go to the gym and get in better shape, make that decision and do it.
Whether you want to write a book and publish it and just do it. Whether you want to make your marriage better by having date nights, all of these things are decisions that happen, that are daily. Every single day, you make daily decisions and they end up leading you, when you’re ready for it, to decision freedom.
I invite you to watch my following video where I explain how having decision freedom can really impact your life!
So how do you get to having decision freedom?
You simply, and I say simply, it’s simple, but it’s not easy just like so many things in life, simple, but not easy. When it comes time to make a decision, you really have to do think about, “Okay, exactly what do I want to do with this? What do I want to do with this relationship? What do I want to do with this job? What do I want to do with this family member who keeps dragging me down?”
Whatever that is, or “This child who’s having trouble in school and I can’t seem to get them to want to listen to the teacher,” you know, what can I do about that? All these things, every single day you’re faced with so many decisions and it’s those decisions that really carve out your life and who you are and how you handle it.
Soon, what I hope that means for you is that all those decisions that are daily, that are simple to make, but hard to make, if that makes any kind of sense, you have to do it, you have to decide. Let me backtrack a little bit, the longer a person waits to make a decision about something, the harder it becomes.
If you are waffling on making a decision, that actually means that you probably know the answer, but you’re not comfortable with that the decision is going to be. If that’s going on, that’s actually when you know you’re on the right track because if you’re facing a big decision and you’re feeling a little uncomfortable with it, that probably means you’re facing what’s known as the terror barrier.
When you face up with that terror barrier, most often, people will kind of backtrack and say, “I can’t go that route. That’s a decision that I can’t make. Now I don’t know if I can follow through with that.” That means you’re kind of afraid, but I will tell you, that if you’re facing a decision that makes you afraid and you understand that that decision or that terror barrier is coming up against you and that’s why you’re waffling, then that means that you’re probably on the right track, you can understand what’s happening, and you can just push through that terror barrier and then freedom stands on the other side of that.
Your freedom is on the other side of that wall.
All of these decisions then, will eventually lead you to, and it may happen you know next month, next year, three years, whatever, but soon when you build up the understanding of what’s going on every time it comes to making the decision, then you can get to the other side and you can have decision freedom because you understand what’s making you afraid, and you understand that you can plow through it and you’re fine.
So thank you so much for reading this post and I want to encourage all of you to think about this, do I have decision freedom, am I able to decide to do anything that I want to do? And if you don’t, please consider that every single decision you make, can and will lead you there.
Go towards decision freedom, it’s where everything awesome is!
If you have friends or family that need to have decision freedom in their life too, then please go ahead and share this post and also leave a comment and tell me your thoughts.
and remember….
You are awesome. You are amazing. You are beautiful. I know that, and I want you to know that about you too!

Affirmations and bringing positivity in your life
In this post I’d love to discuss affirmations!
Affirmations are something you can complete morning and night, you can write your own or even use some of the ones I’m going to include in this post.
If something negative in your life happens, take your list of affirmations, wherever you have them, and just re-read these affirmations, close your eyes if you need to, to really get emotionally involved. Affirmations are powerful statements that can take you to a place of strength, positivity and what can be possible.
Either click to watch the follow video or read on…
Affirmations and why they work
Now, I’m going to talk about why reading through your list of affirmations work. The reason that this type of work works with you or on you, for you, is because every time somebody … All of our results are based on our actions, and our actions are driven by our feelings, and our feelings are driven by our thoughts. The only way to make long lasting change is to be able to change the thoughts, and then, therefore, create new feelings, or change the feelings that we have about certain thoughts. Okay, did that sound a little crazy?
Let me give you an example:
Say, for example, somebody said to you something like, “I really don’t like that dress you’re wearing,” and you weren’t wearing a dress. Would that impact you? Probably not. The reason is because it didn’t make any sense, so in your brain, your processing part of it says, “Well, I’m not wearing a dress, so that doesn’t impact me.” Therefore, no feelings would have come into play. Therefore, you would not have been hurt by something that somebody said, when you knew it wasn’t true.
When you’re trying to change the thought pattern that you have or the feelings that you have about what people say to you, you’ve gotta kinda pay really close attention to allowing these thoughts to create the feelings that you have. If somebody says to you, “I really don’t like that dress you’re wearing,” or, “I can’t believe you wore that dress,” and you do have a dress on, there’s kind of an automatic, “Oh, well, gosh,” and then your feelings get involved, and then they might get hurt because you allowed that thought to penetrate your mind.
Then, your feelings get hurt, and then again, it drives your action, and it drives your results. Time after time, if you allow these things to come in like that, that’s how you end up with low self esteem or low self confidence. If enough of those feelings and actions have happened, that is the result.
The reason why these affirmations work and the ability to start believing in yourself, is because as you are doing this work, you’re … Trust me, you’re going to need to do this daily, and you’re going to need to do this routinely, and you’re going to need to do this, revisit this, and make sure that your affirmations are in line with what you want and where you want to go, in alignment with your truth.
You’ve gotta go back, and you’ve gotta say, “All right, I am worthy.” The more you say it, the more you start to believe it. Therefore, your thoughts change your feelings, and that belief system is what gets you really feeling it. It really bolsters you. That’s why you’ve gotta do it.
I’m gonna introduce to you … I just want you to and that this type of work does work when you do the work. It only takes a few minutes every morning, every night, and every time you need it, but just start to bolster your own belief system, so that you can protect yourself, so that you can only allow yourself to be emotionally involved in feelings that are true, which is you are awesome; you are amazing; and you are beautiful; and you are worthy, you are truthful; you are, all that, whatever your affirmations are.
By only allowing the truth to come in, that’s when your self confidence really, really starts to bolster. By doing this work, that’s exactly how it works.

Affirmations and Mirror Work
This last piece that we’re gonna go through is what’s called mirror work. I want to explain why this works. Mirror work was, I believe, invented by Louise Hayes, Louisa Hayes, and feel free to Google her, but her work was pretty phenomenal and mind blowing in a lot of ways. What it does is … She just does … I can’t believe I don’t have one. She takes a mirror, and she just talks to herself.
Now, that work is perfectly fine. You can do that, if you like to do that, but another way that you can do mirror work is just look, look into the mirror, I’m trying to figure out which … Look into the mirror, and speak these things, speak these awesome words in one eye, and then look at the other eye, and say these words to yourself: I am worthy; I am loved; I am awesome; I am amazing; I am beautiful; I am fit; I am fabulous; I am freaking awesome.
Then do it again. Do it for about five times, each eye, and in time, and it does take time, but in time, you’ll start to believe it and know it, ’cause truth is easy to believe when it is truth, and those are all truths.
That’s our mirror work. Again, I just want you to know, if you don’t have enough oomph or confidence to believe any of these words, do not worry. It will come with time. Please know that I believe it of you, even if you don’t right now. Take my belief and know that I feel that way about you. I know that you are awesome, and you are amazing, and you are beautiful. I really do.
Oh, last thing, ah! Do this mirror work for at least 30 day and watch what happens in your life. Watch what happens when you have this massive confidence and when you have this self confidence.
Watch how you treat people differently, how they treat you, and watch the difference in your whole life because this new thinking and this new feeling about yourself causes new actions, and it’s gonna create bigger results.
Remember to share this post if you loved it and remember:
You are awesome. You are amazing. You are beautiful. I know that, and I want you to know that about you too!

Is your life as good as it gets?
So listen, the title of this post is “Is This As Good As It Gets?”
You know, or the other question, what if? Oh my gosh, what if it is? Would you be okay right now?
Would you be okay if something happened, God forbid, and you had to be … nothing could change? Are you missing out on something because you worried too much about security or you’re worried.
Well, you know what, I believe in dreams, I believe in hope, I believe in love, I believe in living life to the fullest, and I also believe in becoming the absolute best that you can.
Listen in to my video below where I explain more…
Do you have the power to change?
So is this as good as it gets, I wanted people to … I want you to kind of sit in that for a second and say, is it? And this happened to me a few years ago, separated from my husband, and you know what, I thought he was the love of my life. Well, he was the love of my life. I thought it was going to last forever. I thought that … I mean, we had big dreams, we had big plans.
We moved far away and then it all crumbled. I thought to myself, “Wow. Is this it? Is this where I’m at? I’m in my 50’s, and no husband, and I’ve got my bonus baby at home, two additional children because we have grandchildren, and a cat and a dog, and this is it? I’m alone? Is this as good as it gets?”
That was kind of a hard pill to swallow for a little while because I was like it took me a bit. I woke up, and I said, “You know what? This is not as good as it gets. I have complete control over everything that happens in my life.” I such remember that. I knew that when … but when I think sometimes when we’re going through an emotional trauma because that’s what it is.
Divorce and separation is an emotional trauma when you’re going through something like that, it’s really kind of hard to see outside of you, right?
But when you can get back to focus, and get back to yourself, and you say, “I am not going to let what happened to me be my story. I refuse to let what happened to me be my story. So I need to make sure that I don’t ever ask the question …” This is what you’re saying to you, right? Anybody’s who’s been through trauma … “I’ve got to make sure that if I’m going to answer that question, is this as good as it gets, then I want that answer to be yes, and I’m perfectly good with that. I’m happy with this. I made this. I created all of this.”
Then the other scenario is what if? Get to the end of your life and you say, “But what if?” You know, I was writing with a friend the other couple weeks ago, and I said, “Well, are you happy?” And he said, “Well, yeah.” I said, “Are you happy with what you’re doing?” He said, “I am.”
I said, “Well that’s great, as long as you don’t meet the person that you could have been on your deathbed.” He was like, “Whoa.” But that is the point. Examine where you are. If you have these questions for yourself, is this as good as it gets, that answer should be yes, yeah I did it, I made that happen, whatever it is for you. I just want to encourage you to completely live in your truth, your purpose, your life, whatever that means for you.
The question of what if, please do not let that answer or that question throw you off. If it does, I really, really want to encourage you to say to yourself, “If I’m answering the question, what if? What if I did that? What if I took that trip to Greece that my friends went on and asked me to go, and I said I couldn’t go because I didn’t think that I had the money to go? Or what if I do not take my children on a … go on the field trip with them?”
Whatever, anything, could be small, could be big, but every once in a while, ask yourself the question, is this as good as it gets. Make sure you’re happy with that answer, and then certainly do not live in the idea that what if. What if I would have done that? That’s just sad. Sorry, it’s sad, and I don’t want you to be sad. I want you to realize that you are in control of every single thing that happens in your life.
You know, one of the most common misconceptions I think of humankind is that they believe that it’s their environment and their circumstance that makes them who they are, what they are. When in fact, every single person has within them the ability to make changes and to get beyond anything that might have been put in front of them or that they might have been born into. That’s just a fact.
We are all born with the same stuff. If we are born into different circumstances, well you know, you still have the ability … it may be a little harder … but you have the ability to see that goodness inside of you and to recognize that you are in control of everything you do in your life.
It’s something we as parents try to teach our children, right? So we want to … I just want to encourage you to spend some time, ask yourself those questions, and if the answers … if you do not like the answers, then maybe it’s time to take a listen to … not take a listen, take a look at why, evaluate why for yourself. Why do you not like the answer is this as good as it gets. If the answer is oh my gosh, I do not want this to be … Take control. Take control.
I will tell you that here I am on a Friday night. That is a part of me that kind of says, “All right, so here I am on a Friday night, doing a live video about personal development and professional development.” It’s like hmm. But you know what, there’s no place I’d rather be. I would so much rather be doing this and helping to spread the message about how good you can have it or what you could be doing with yourself or for yourself, than probably anything in the world, next to my family, of course.
So I felt sorry for myself for a hot minute, and then I was like, “All right, no. I can’t feel sorry for myself. I like what I do. I love what I do.” And again, I was just passing time.
So listen, please know that you have the power within you to make any change that you want to change.
You can do anything in this world that you want to, and I mean that. It took me a long time, a long time to learn that we have such magnificent control if we understand our mind. If you have any questions for me, send me a message using the contact form or just comment below. Ask me a question. I’d be happy to answer.
I just want you to be good in thought and spirit and mind and all that so go ahead and make your life as good as it gets!

Are you living in your purpose fully?
Have you heard the story about the messenger?
I just heard this story the other day and it really touched me because I loved the message of it and I want to share that with you today. It’s a message about purpose actually. I want to talk to you about living in your purpose because that is my passion, sharing how to grow into your best self, how to live in purpose, live your life on purpose. The story of the messenger, which apparently came from Mary a third party, I have not yet found the original source.
The story is about the messenger who’s only job was to give the king a message, one message, one job.
Now here’s what happened. Apparently the messenger had a long journey and on this journey he decided to stop and visit the market and then he stopped to socialize with friends and then he stopped and decided to lay bricks for a little while, do you see the drift here? He had one job, his whole job was to take his message to the king. Now what he did along the way was got distracted, diverted and never made it to the king with the one message, because he was distracted all the time.
How does that fit into purpose and living in your purpose?
I’ll tell you. Isn’t that the same thing? If you are not living in your purpose, in the thing that you are supposed to do in your life here, aren’t you the same as that messenger, continually allowing distractions and diversions to get in the way of the things that you’re, what you’re supposed to be doing. A lot of us call it, some of us have a job that we’re not exactly fit in with.
Some of us are doing something that it doesn’t exactly wake us up and make us smile, or we smile instantly because we are living our life in our true purpose.

I encourage you to start living in your purpose
I just want to encourage you, take a moment and think, am I doing exactly what I want to be doing in my life? Am I living in my purpose?
Think about that. I guarantee you if you pause and reflect on that you will find insight into yourself and if you have determined that you are not living in your purpose, you know how old I was when I stopped saying I don’t know what I want to be when I grow up? I was in my 50’s, it’s normal. Take that moment and I want to encourage you, please reflect on what you’re doing and if you are not completely 100 percent certain that you are living in your purpose, please do something about it.
The world deserves your true gift, whatever that is. Please start living in your purpose, it’s important for us and for you. That’s my message for this post today, and I would love it if you shared this post, subscribe to my notifications too so you don’t miss out on any latest posts.
I love helping people and giving tips and hows too’s. I hoped you have learned more about living in your purpose and I encourage you to start doing so today.
REMEMBER:
You are awesome. You are amazing. You are beautiful. I know that, and I want you to know that about you too!
To YOUR Success,
