Are You Playing Big? – In Business and in Life!

Are you playing big or small in life?

Hello. How are you? Are you playing big? Do you even know what means?

I mean, I think playing big means different things for different people. In the following video we’re gonna talk about whether you’re playing big, or should you play big? What does it even mean for people?

I want to talk to you about playing big, should you have to, do you need to, and what does it even mean? I have found that through the years, people say, “Oh, they’re playing big, or they’ve got to play big, or you’ve got to play big,” and I think that a lot of people’s definition of playing big is making a lot of money. I think that that is extremely off-base, and let me tell you why…

Please take a moment to watch the following video so I can explain.

Playing Big is different to everyone

Playing big should be about really doing everything that you know you should be doing in order to get where you want to go. The end result could be anything from climbing Mount Everest, to kayaking across the Atlantic ocean, to getting up every single day and taking care of your sick mother. Playing big is different for everyone. When I don’t want you feel bad if your definition of playing big is different than other people because you’re who you are and what you do is what’s important. It doesn’t matter about money, it doesn’t matter about doing something that no one else has done. It just doesn’t matter.

I just would like to take this time and encourage you to completely be doing whatever “big” thing that you want to do. Whatever that means for you.

My definition of playing big, or when I feel like I’m playing big, and honestly it took me a long time to get here. I used to think that playing big was about the money for awhile, for a long time, and then I grew up, and then I grew older, and soon I realized that playing big for me was about absolutely realizing what my purpose was here on earth. That’s a big deal, right?

playing bigFor a lot of us, how many times have you said, “I don’t know what I want to be when I grow up?” How many times have you said that? Every time you say that to yourself, “I don’t know what I want to be when I grow up,” you cause a little bit of, “What do I want to be?” This is for me, anyway. How come I don’t know? I’m 55 years old. How do I not know what I want to be when I grow up? Oh my gosh, that was kind of a hard pill to swallow.

When I finally realized it, and it came after lots of study, lots of reflection, lots of kind of just trying to figure things out. It came to me one morning, and it was a huge epiphany, and it feels kind of silly for spending so much time worrying about it, but here’s what I think most of us are put on this earth to do. I think most of us are put on this earth to help others with whatever gifts that we have, I believe it’s our job, our purpose, our whole purpose, is to help other people.

If you’re playing big, and you’re helping people, the other way that you can help people is by showing children in kindergarten, teaching kindergartens how to tie their shoes, guess what? You’re playing big. For others, their gift may be that they teach foreign languages, or languages to people. It could be anything. Do you see my point though?

Your playing big has all and everything to do with what you were put on this earth to do. Your purpose. To help others.

However that definition fits you, that’s when you’re playing big, when you’re stepping into your purpose, when you’re stepping into what you should be doing on this earth.

Thank you very much to all you kindergarten teachers, to all you nurses, teachers, firefighters, military, all of you who are helping others in any way you can, because that’s what your purpose is and Congratulations for that!

If you want to share this post on playing big, feel free.

You are awesome. You are amazing. You are beautiful. I know that, and I want you to know that about you too!

Achieving Goals with New Habits

Are You Achieving Goals you have set for yourself?

Are you achieving goals you have actually set out to do? An why do you think many people don’t?

I mean, how many New Years Eve resolutions do you think actually were achieved earlier this year? I would venture to say less than probably ten percent. I don’t know if there’s an actual figure out there somewhere, but that’s what I would think, it’s not very many people. But why is that?

Why would somebody set a goal to achieve then not accomplish it?

Well, I’d like to share that, in my opinion, one of the reasons is that when we set goals we do not always identify the actions necessary in order to change our behavior to help us to achieving your goals, because sometimes when we set a new goal it’s not followed up with, nor is the foundation laid in order for somebody to say, “Okay, what new habits do I need to develop? And what can I do to make sure that I get this done? A lot of times it’s like, “I’m going to lose 30 pounds.” How are you going to lose 30 pounds? What new habits are you going to develop to lose the 30 pounds? How?

The how must accompany the goal. It just has to.

Achieving Goals with New Habits

So, I think that if you do any sort of research on it, or if you’ve heard any conversation about it, most often these big lofty goals, the only time that they are achieved is if you change certain behaviors and create new habits that will cause you to think differently, therefore act differently and create that different result. So, the ability to achieving goals is that … Anybody can accomplish anything.

Please do not get me wrong. Anyone can accomplish anything that they set out to do, but what I’m saying is that the reason the majority of people do not achieve their goals, especially the big life changing goals, is because they have not identified the behaviors that they need to have change. And if they have, sometimes they do, somethings they do, don’t get me wrong, the other thing is that even if they identified the behaviors, sometimes the reason they don’t is they get afraid.

They reach a certain point in their journey to their goal where they say, “Hmm … I don’t know if I can do this.” Or they just automatically shift back into their normalality. It’s a lot easier to stay in bed instead of getting up that 30 minutes earlier to go the gym, as an example. It’s a lot easier to go back to what we know. What do we call that? The comfort zone. So, a lot of times the people, “the people,” I’m talking like it’s a different species or something, but a lot of times people who set goals aren’t giving themselves enough latitude in so far as what they want to accomplish, and they’re not giving themselves enough of the tools.

I’m a firm believer that you’ve got to have the right tools for the task. So, I want to encourage you, if you are in the process, or if you are a goal setter, or if you want to start achieving goals, do the work necessary to establish your foundation on what exactly will help you accomplish these goals, and how do you get into forming new habits.

Let me give you an example. One of my goals this year was to drink water, and I decided that the only way that I could increase that, because I don’t like water, I don’t like plain water, so I chose to add a good nutritional supplement to my water that tasted good. Now, what did that do? That set me up for success right away, because I removed the barrier of not liking plain water by adding something that was good tasting and good for me. So that right there, I changed what I had been doing before, which allowed me to have a better likelihood of success in my new goal of drinking my water weight, half my water weight in ounces everyday.

Then, I needed a tracker. I needed something to kind of figure out, am I getting the amount of water that I say I’m going to get, or that I need? Am I getting that? So I initially figured out, I just looked at my water bottle and I was like, “I need to drink five of these a day.” So in my head I had to, initially I actually didn’t do it in my head, but initially I kept track of it by putting a counter on my island. Now, that island sat there, and I know I needed five, so I simply put a check mark every day until the habit was developed and I was able to recognize that I am getting five of my water bottles every day, and that means I’m accomplishing my water goals.

achieving goalsNow, that habit was formed after 30 days or so, probably sooner ’cause I found that I really liked it. I found that I love the benefits of getting the hydration, so what happened after that is it became my new normal. I was able to accomplish a goal because I set the goal and I put the pieces in place that would allow me to accomplish that. I had to override my not liking plain water. I had to figure something out for that, I had to figure a tracking mechanism, and that allowed me, just like … I’m telling you, this is how you do anything. Any new goal, any goal that you want to have, any new habit that you want to create, give yourself the latitude, give yourself room, look at your own situation, what you like, what don’t you like, and then be able to say, “Okay, how exactly can I accomplish that? How can I do that?” So as I stated, in my case, I don’t like plain water, I had to add something good and nutritious to the water, I had to put a counter on my water so that I knew when I was getting it, and soon that developed into a habit, and that’s how we start achieving goals.

Any goal you want to accomplish can start just like that. Decide that you want to do it, figure out what you might need to help you along with it, and then take the daily action necessary to make that into a new habit, and those habits are what will set you up for succeeding in those goals.

Thank you so much for reading this post, and I just want to let you know that I have a new confidence course coming up which will be called The Bold Confidence Club. Oh my gosh, I’m so excited about it. I just listened to it all again today, and it is less than 30 minutes of actual audio, and I am super-duper excited about it because, well, you know, there was a time when I needed that big time, actually, and it wasn’t that long ago.

But if you’re interested, if you want to know more about the bold confidence course, be sure to contact me so I can put you on the waiting list. We’re wrapping up the final PDFs, the assignments, to get you going on the right track, because this is what I know, everything that anyone ever sets out to do, one of the biggest things that holds people back is their lack of confidence.

They may not understand that right away, but if you’re not achieving the goals that you want to, or if you’re not doing everything that you wanted to do if your life, I want you to take a good honest assessment and say, “Do I have enough self confidence, and is my self esteem enough so that I can accomplish these goals, so I can set out and do these things?”

Share this post because there might be somebody you know that needs this confidence course or needs to learn how to start achieving goals too.

You are awesome. You are amazing. You are beautiful. I know that, and I want you to know that about you too!

Attitude of Gratitude – 4 Step System

Gratitude is the Best Way to Start Your Day

I just wanted to share with you something that has been really working for me for about 90 days I think I’ve been doing it. It’s a proven fact that when you create new habits, then those habits become ingrained. They change your paradigm. They change what you’re doing and they, therefore, change your results.

This four step system that I wanted to share with you today is something that I find incredibly powerful, and it doesn’t matter what you’re working on or even your burning desire, It really is overall successful in your day and that method is called the GAME ON method. You might have seen a couple of posts about it and I really enjoyed doing it.

Watch the following video where I really explain why having an attitude of gratitude is the best way to start off your day…

Get Your Game On – G is for Gratitude!

G-RATITUDE

The four step system is this: GAME ON. I named it that for a purpose and it starts with the G for game and G, that’s with gratitude. You start your day with gratitude. If you want to keep this routine in a certain time frame, set your timer. But what I’d like to suggest that you do at the beginning is just get used to the process because any new habit, any new thing that you create … Again, this is all to create such a foundation for an amazing day and it works so well. Gratitude is G. You spend a few minutes expressing gratitude.

I have a gratitude journal and I bought a five year journal. Why?

Because I want to see in one place the progress or the changes that have occurred with my gratitude entries but you don’t have to have a five year journal. Just grab anything where you can write it down and express gratitude. If you don’t want to write, that’s fine but I recommend writing. Just write down things that you’re grateful for and they can be anything.

Some days it’s my cat and my dog. Some days it’s the fact that I was able to make a trip safely. It really just depends. Just spend time in sitting in gratitude because gratitude really puts you in a feel good place, and it also makes you just feel like … Well, it just brings more good things to you, whatever you’re grateful for so express gratitude. It doesn’t have to be long. Again, two or three minutes and then that’s for the G.

A-FFIRMATIONS

The next part of GAME ON is A and that is affirmations. Now, there’s talk from a lot of people. A lot of gurus will tell you that affirmations work. A lot of people tell you that … A lot of gurus will tell you that affirmations are crap and this is what I know. The affirmations will work for you when you couple it with a feeling, when you couple it with the emotion about whatever it is you’re affirming. These affirmations, if you like some tips on them, just let me know. I can help you with that. I’m so happy and grateful now that … Make sure you put “now that.” Lead it with “now that.”

Even though you know right now it might sound silly like I’m so happy and grateful now that I have a $5,000 a month. I have a $10,000 income month. Whatever it is that you want to work on, then just write that down.

If you want to work a little bit on the affirmations ahead of time … Do they change? Absolutely.

Absolutely. But, what happens is it gets your mind in the place of being able to recognize that the thing that you’re working on you will then be exposed and be more open to seeing the opportunity to accomplish whatever that is. They can be anything. I’m so happy and grateful now that I have a beautiful home. I’m so happy and grateful now that I have a home on the water. I’m so happy and grateful now that I have an extra $2,000 a month to spend, to do nothing with, whatever it is that you want.

Spend some time creating these affirmations. If you want tips on that, let me know. I’ve definitely some great connections. I spend some time writing and rewriting affirmations. You do not have to write them. Again, the only reason that I write gratitude and affirmations is because I know it’s proven when you write things down, it actually has a better chance of getting up here and staying up here.

M-EDITATION

Gratitude, affirmations. The next step is meditation. Some call it prayer. Whatever you want, just spend sometime. I use an app called Omvana. My current favorite meditation is 20 minutes and it is Bob Proctor’s Abundance Meditation. I love it. I’m pretty sure it’s free. You can probably find it on YouTube as well but it’s Bob Proctor’s Abundance Meditation. I love that. In that Omvana app which is free and there are a lot of free meditations in there, oh, my gosh, go ahead and just look through what you want to work on. On mornings when I have just a little bit of time, I use the three minute meditation. I can’t remember the lady’s name but it’s just three minutes.

The whole point is take that time and just relax and just be.

I used to laugh at people and say, “What the heck does just be mean? I don’t know what that means.” And, just be still. I still honestly don’t know what that means because my mind is always on. What I find is that through guided meditations, that’s how I start, I eventually hope to move up to quiet meditations because I really do want to know what that’s like, but I find that guided meditations really allow me to sit still and to focus on what they say.

That’s why it’s really important to find something that you like. Go through the Omvana app and take a look at that if you want to do it on your phone. If you want to do it on a computer, I’m sure there’s something on YouTube that you can find. Again, search for something that appeals to you, whatever it is that you want to work on.

E-XERCISE

Then the last part of the GAME ON morning is exercise. Now, not everybody has time for an hour in the gym or wants to take the time. This exercise in the morning just do something at least. Find even five minutes, 10 minutes is better, but find something that you can do for just 10 minutes in the morning. That’s all I’m asking you to do. I don’t know the science behind it and I don’t know all the exercise words because I’m not an exercise girl, I’m not, but I’m working on that and I understand the importance of it. It’s definitely in the morning.

What I found is that I’ll do just 20 or 30 squats. I’ll do some planks. I’ll do some jumping jacks. One of my friends posted this ab challenge. Man, that was tougher than I thought. Just find something that you can do for 10 minutes. If you need a slow start, do five minutes. Jog in place or not even jog in place. Lift your knees and do lifts to get your blood flowing because it’s that piece of it that’s important.

gratitudeJust to recap, spend this time every morning. If you only have 15 minutes in the morning, do three minutes worth of gratitude, three minutes worth of affirmations, 5 minutes worth of mediation, 5 minutes worth of exercise and I think that added up to … What did I just say? 16. My point is you can do it.

When you start your day like this, you will be amazed at the difference in your day. Your productivity will flourish. Your mental capacity will be … You’ll just be more prepared to be able to do different things and you have a better attitude of gratitude!

GAME ON. Get your GAME ON. That’s what that’s all about. I just want to share this method that I use and If you want any more tips on this please leave a comment below. If you know anyone that might want to start off their day with gratitude then please share this post.

and remember….

You are awesome. You are amazing. You are beautiful. I know that, and I want you to know that about you too!

Confidence Tips – Build Your Confidence Muscle

My Confidence Tips To Help Boost Your Confidence

Confidence! Did you know that confidence is like a muscle? Well it’s actually pretty easy to strengthen this muscle by starting to implement the confidence tips I’m going to give you today.

I think confidence is a great topic to discuss for everyone because without building confidence in many aspects of our lives, we can be held back from things we are wanting to achieve.

So, why or how can we build this oh so important part of our personality, of our character, of who we are? People with self confidence have the ability to be at ease in most situations, because they are comfortable in their skin. That is probably the easiest way to explain what it’s like to see somebody with self confidence. You can see that they’re comfortable in their skin and comfortable with what they’re doing, but a lot of people are wishing that they had more self confidence and so I’m gonna talk about some of the things that I have learned.

I have confidence now but I didn’t always used to have confidence. I remember being in the Military I was super shy and quiet up until I was an E5, which was, you know … Actually, no I was an E6, so I was quite a few years in. Maybe six or seven years in the Military when I finally realized that the only way that I was gonna get recognize for what I was doing and get promoted etc, besides studying for the test, taking, passing a test and all that kinda stuff, which I was doing, but the best way that I could get my word, my name known and people know me and I could get selected for sale of the quarter, obviously that’s an old mood, but I needed the confidence to speak up, because I was so shy and quiet.

I mean, I know that a lot of people find that surprising, but I was super shy and super quiet and I realized one day, I just kind of had a wake up call, that the only way that I was really going to be heard and that I can really contribute to the command’s efficiency and everybody, was I had to speak up and so I had to do a lot of confidence building and started searching for my own confidence tips.

I didn’t realize what it was then, but I just knew that I had to do something to be able to speak up and you know be able to present that I knew needed to be presented. Do work that needed to be done and here’s the bottom line with any situation. When you exude self confidence when people know that you’re confident about what you’re saying, that allows them to believe in you too and that allows them to hear you better.

It’s just human nature. Just the way that it is. So hey listen up, I would really love it if you took the time to watch my following video where I will lay out some actionable confidence tips that you can start working on today!

Confidence Tips You Can Start Applying Today!

Ok, so read on for some of my top confidence tips.

I’ll give you some tips for how to build confidence and if you know anybody that might need to have the information and might want build confidence tips, feel free to share this post on social media or even email to a friend. The confidence tips that I’m gonna share with you in this post are just one way of confidence building.

There are several actually, but I’m just gonna share this one way that I like to use and something that I realized had I used these tools back when I myself lacked self confidence. Hey, it’s not an overnight thing but at least it may have got me there sooner. It’s something that you can do that you can use to build on. So here we go:

Confidence Tips

  1. Acknowledge and recognize what you’ve already done. Take a piece of paper and start to write out some of the things you’ve already accomplished. Spend some time here, write out as many as you can. As many accomplishments and I’m telling you they can be anything from eating broccoli when you didn’t feel like eating broccoli, because you were a guest at a dinner party to … Which, that’s an accomplishment if you don’t like broccoli, to giving birth, to flying to be with your sister after a surgery. Anything that you know just kind of, where you kinda know, “Yeah I did that. I did that.”
  2. Write down your strengths. The things that you know that you’re strong on. You know you have a great education. You toughed it out and went to school, you dropped out of high school and then you went back to school and graduated. You don’t change your baby’s diapers five times in a row. I mean any … You know how to do that. Or you have twins and you know how to juggle two babies at once. Anything that you find is a strength in you.

You have two different pieces of papers here. Okay, you’ve got your accomplishments, anything that you know that you accomplished. Number two, you’ve got strengths. The strengths that you know you have and you just list them and just do a complete brain dump on all of these things.

Find out your true character strengths by using this fantastic Strengths Tool by VIA Character.Org HERE

How To Use Your Confidence Tips

This is how you’re gonna use them. You’re going to review these reminders to you of what you’ve already done and the things that you find that are strengths in you and if you want ask somebody that’s close to you and say, “What do you think are my strengths?” I find that incredibly empowering, when we find out from somebody else that they find us inspirational or that they find us courageous. Some things that maybe we didn’t think about for ourselves.

Add things, add to that and keep them handy. Keep these sheets handy for yourself and review them every day, every time that you need it, review them frequently. What will start to happen is you’ll start in your brain to realize that all the good. You’ll start to remember more routinely all the good that you’ve already done and everything that you’ve already accomplished and then guess what?

You can add to it!

confidence tipsEvery single time that you think of something that is a strength, that you maybe didn’t … Just add to that and all of these pieces and parts that you have throughout the day, that you’re looking at it or you just kinda keep it on a piece of paper and you read it or say you’re taking a break. You just take a break and you read it, it’s amazing what this positive influx of good will do for your brain and how it will impact your self confidence.

Now, those are two great big things and I know I covered them briefly in these confidence tips, but just try it. You will be amazed at what happens when you sit down and recognize your own strengths and your own accomplishments and then you use them as reminders for you. Those are two big things. Another thing that builds self confidence is the ability to accomplish goals. If you have a certain goal, start small as far as keeping track of it and it could be that you’re going to not eat the coconut cream pie that’s in the refrigerator!

In other words, write down a goal, a small one, that is like within your reach or something that you can do tomorrow or within this next week and what will happen is that when you write down a goal and you accomplish it and then you write down another one? Every time you accomplish that, it automatically boosts your self confidence.

All these things, these are my top confidence tips to start and then you keep on routine with these. You keep them in foreword focus for you. Keep them right here for you. Get a book maybe. Get a book. You keep that all written down and just review it and watch yourself bloom. Just watch. I’m so excited to watch you do that for you. Anytime you need a boost you can review it.

Listen, I’m going to be launching a confidence course very soon called Bold Confidence Club. To get on the waiting list email me at dianna@diannagoodsky.com and I’ll let you know when we are planning to launch. We have already done a beta test and had fantastic feedback. I’m very excited about it and proud of the project and it was so amazing to see people in the group transforms.

We will also have a private Facebook Group for all course members and I’ll be in there interacting and helping you every step of your confidence journey.

Thank you very much for listening to me today and again, remember confidence is like a muscle and you can build it and you just gotta work on it daily. Every day.

Take a look at your sheets. Look at your accomplishments. Look at your strengths. Remind yourself how amazing you are, because that’s how you start right now. That’s just an easy way to start that you can do yourself and I hope you enjoyed these confidence tips!

You are awesome. You are amazing. You are beautiful. I know that, and I want you to know that about you too!

Do You Listen to the Voices Inside Your Head?

The Voices Inside Your Head Could Be Damaging Your Mindset

Today I wanted to talk about a couple of things on the topic of the voices inside your head.

Of course, I’ve got that song in my head now, and I’m going to spare you, and I’m not going to sing it in this video, but the reality for all of us is that we all listen to the voices inside our head, and so it’s really, really important to make sure that the voices inside your head are saying good things.

I’m telling you, it’s an important thing from the time you get up in the morning to the time you go to bed at night, something is invariably going to happen.

Negative Voices Inside Your Head Can Become a Habit

I used to have a bad habit. I really used to have a bad habit of saying something like, if I tripped over something during the day or whatever, I would say, “Oh, you doofus.” Do you know how damaging that is?

That’s incredibly damaging to ourselves, and so I want to encourage you to be very, very mindful of how you speak to yourself and how you, because you’re listening to yourself, and how your brain processes that, it doesn’t know the difference between the reality and the thought. It just doesn’t, so when you say something like I was saying, “Oh, doofus,” or, “Oh, doofus-head,” and that’s not the worst thing I called myself, your brain processes that as reality.

voices inside your headSo you must be extremely careful how you talk to yourself, because your brain listens whether you know it or not, or whether you think so or not, even if you don’t think you’re a doofus and you say that to yourself.

Guess what? Pretty soon, there are more doofus moves, so I want you to be very, very careful, and here’s the trick. Here’s the way to make sure that what you are saying to yourself is a good thing to say, and if you ever find yourself thinking something negative like that, literally, in your head, visualize kicking it out, just there you go. “You’re not allowed here anymore, because I’m awesome,” or if you … I don’t know how many people have said to themselves, “Oh, I’m such a dummy,” because I’ve heard a lot of people say that, and that’s not cool. It’s not good at all.

Whenever anything like that happens, say, “Boop, it’s gone,” and, “I am not a dummy. I am smart,” or just counter it with whatever the opposite word is, and soon you’ll find …

Well, first thing you’re going to notice is that you’re going to notice how often you say things like that to yourself. The second thing is, you’re going to notice that you can change that, and that’s where the real power comes in is your ability to change something.

I think that a lot of us, very innocently, do it. I know for me, until I really learned the power of the mind and how important the mindset is, I never thought anything of it. I just didn’t. I knew I wasn’t a doofus so stop listening to those little voices inside your head.

I knew I wasn’t dumb, but I still allowed those thoughts to creep in there, because it just seemed like a, “Doofus-head,” but now that I know better, I practice all the time, as we all should, kicking it out, getting rid of that negativity, because that’s what it is, and putting good words instead.

I want to encourage all of you to just take the time to pay attention to yourself, because you are the best. You are the absolute best audience for you, and your self-improvement is your head. How you talk to yourself and pay attention to yourself is exactly the best way to go, because it happens naturally without you even trying. Please do work on that. I definitely agree that a lot of people can work on this.

I want to encourage you all to do that.

Power of the Human Brain – Are You Controlling It?

Power of the Human Brain and What you are Allowing it to Think!

Hey everyone, I am so glad that you’re here and landed on this post!, Today I want to share some information with you that I’ve discovered about the power of the human brain.

So, we are going to talk about your mindset really and the reason I want to talk about that is because I love studying it. I absolutely love studying it because it fascinates me.

You know, I’ve been studying this subject for a while, and I’ve always been fascinated with the brain and the power of the human brain. Ask my children. They will tell you from the whole time growing up, they wondered, or not they wondered, they always heard me say:

“If you believe you can, you will be able to.”

As I grew older, I saw many situations that absolutely just made me reaffirm everything that I already knew, or I knew at some level that we become what we think about, and we can create things in our lives. I didn’t understand the power of the human brain fully until I was much older, but I certainly recognized that if we thought we were going to have a bad day or If I thought I was going to have a bad day, I had a bad day.

Now what happens with that? That means I created. It’s just so silly but this is what the power of the human brain is capable of.

Watch the following video as I share with you more on what I’ve learned about the power of the human brain and mindset.

I Have a Secret to Share about the Power of My Brain

I’m going to share a little secret. One of my most crazy things that I did when I was a young adult is I created this situation in my head that if I dropped the soap when I was taking my shower in the morning, that I was going to have a bad day. Who does that kind of stuff? I did. But what happened was I thought that it seemed like the coincidence of having something go wrong at work happened the same time that I dropped the soap in the shower.

So, guess what happened? I’m sure you’re guessing it right now.

What happened is that every single time that I dropped the soap in the shower, I did have a bad day. I did, because that’s what I said in my head. So every single action that happened … Or not action, but every single that happened throughout the day then reinforced the thought that, oh my gosh, of course I missed the training or of course I got into a heavy discussion with my significant other. Whatever it was. Whatever it happened, it reinforced in my head that I made … I was having a bad day because I dropped that soap.

Oh my gosh, so I did that for a couple years, and finally one day I was like, wait a minute. If I could make a bad day, maybe I could make a good day happen. So I changed what I was thinking. Every single time that I dropped the soap in the shower … Now look, I’m sounding like I’m really clumsy, and I’m really not, but it’s slippery in there, you know? But every single time that I dropped the soap, from that point on, after I decided to change that thought process, I made it to, I’m going to have a fantastic day, and I figured back then … I mean, I was 19 years old. I figured back then that even if it didn’t work, it was certainly much more positive to think about having a good day than a bad day, so that was my … Instead of proving it wrong, why not just go ahead and move forward in the day in positive mindset?

And guess what happened? I started having really good days with my whenever I dropped the soap. I changed that power of the human brain with my own thinking.

So I was like, hmm, how is this working here? I wonder if I could create other things, or … And I don’t think I thought I could create, but what I certainly learned was that how our mind works on the inside really definitely effects our attitude, our actions, and now I’m learning it affects our results in every single thing that we do.

So even though I was a young girl, and I didn’t really understand what I was doing, I was actually using the … I was actually using the power of the mind like so many others have before, and realized that your mind, your mindset affects your day, affects your life.

So I started learning a little bit more, actually a lot more about how that actually works, and so I just want to encourage you right now. All I want to encourage you to do is to be very, very careful about what kind of thoughts you’re allowing in your head, and if there’s something that’s not quite great or good, get into the habit of stopping that process and replace it with something else.

power of the human brainThe power of positivity, the power of reinforcement and creating new habits are all things we are capable of doing using the power of the human brain. The main thing is for us to be able to realize that. Tell yourself, I’ve got to replace this habit with a good habit, and I’ve got to … I’ve got to better. I’m going to do better at thinking good stuff, thinking good things. And this will change your life. It will change your life, and that’s just a small step.
